The Food Center addresses individual and community food security through local collaborations, access to healthy foods, and educational and social service development. The four key programs that make up the food center are:

Anderson City Market: Operating on Saturdays, 8 am – 12 pm, from May – October, the market hosts food, art, and community vendors.

Park Place Food Pantry: Open Monday – Friday from 12:30 – 2 pm and Thursdays from 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Volunteer opportunities are available.

Park Place Community Garden: 8x8 foot plot for $15/season. The cost includes access to water, a shed full of tools, a compost bin and space to grow your own food. Our growing season is from May to October.

Purdue Extension Cooking and Nutrition Classes: Bi-monthly, four-week classes, teach cooking and nutrition skills, and how to prepare healthy meals with the food received at the pantry.
