EMPLOYMENT AT THE CHILDREN'S CENTER

  • We are always looking for competent staff who will add their skills to our team.  
  • Teachers are required to have an Elementary or Early Childhood degree.  Having a CDA will also qualify for potential teachers.  
  • National Background checks, fingerprinting, drug screenings, TB tests and physicals are required as prerequisites to be employed at our licensed center.  
  • Assistants are required to have a high school diploma and also receive the above testing.  
  • Our staff at the center follow Developmentally Appropriate Practice and use Conscious Discipline.

Attends Bi – Monthly In-service meetings
Attends Special Events for Children’s Center community
Prepares classroom for the new year and summer session
write weekly thematic lesson plans for approval by director

ASSISTANT TEACHER

Attendance at Bi -weekly staff in-service meetings
Performs duties to assist in the classroom as requested by Lead Teacher
Works in close connection with lead teacher
Has comprehensive knowledge of state regulations
Is willing to learn about Developmentally Appropriate Practice
Has direct contact with children, parents, and staff each day

LEAD AND ASSISTANT TEACHER

Both roles must complete; CPR, First Aid and Universal Precautions,
Safe Sleep Training , Child Abuse Prevention and Four Training Modules in Early
Childhood
