Godly Play is a worship time that helps children explore their faith through story, wonder, and play. Children have an innate sense of the presence of God, and Godly Play seeks to enhance their spiritual experience. Based on Montessori principles and using Bible-based curriculum, Godly Play serves our children 4 years old and up.
On most Sundays during morning worship, the children are invited to meet at the Godly Play banner displayed at the front of the sanctuary. They are greeted by the Storyteller and together follow the banner to their Godly Play room in the education wing of the church. We hope you’ll come join us!
The older children are in Room 162 and the younger ones are in Room 147. Parents, please pick your child(ren) up at these rooms following the morning worship service.
Godly Play will occur on the following Sundays:
April 18, 22, May 6, 13, 20, 27
WEDNESDAY NIGHT KIDS
6:00 - 7:30 pm
Let’s begin with game night. It is all about flying model airplanes, tissue paper birds, and kites. We’ll also have a blind taste test. What color do you think our mystery foods will be?
Then, we’ll talk about what scares you. The story of Caleb and Joshua will help us understand that God can help us with fears that sometimes feel gigantic. God used a donkey in our Bible story to get Balaam’s attention. We’ll learn some ways that we can become quiet so God can get our attention.
Finally, we’ll celebrate with our graduating friends. They will be choosing some of their favorite games to play. Be sure to come to the party!
April 4 - Game Night
April 11 - God Is Bigger Than Our Fears
April 18 - God Wants to Get Our Attention
April 25 - Graduation Night
Together we will learn how to trust God, make the wise choice, treat others the way we want to be treated, and have fun.
