Sundays beginning at 9:00 am
Infants – 5th grade

Infants Room 157, Alexis Franklin
Ages 2 & 3 Room 158, Pia Gossweiler
Ages 4 through 5th grade, Room 153, Royce and Sue Hammel

During this hour teachers provide a caring and safe environment for each child. Your child will engage in age-appropriate learning activities with emphasis on the love God has for them.

Your child will need to obtain a security tag to participate in Sunday morning classes and Godly Play. You may fill out a card designating security information at the Children’s Ministry table located in the south end of the Narthex/lobby entrance to the sanctuary. After filling out information for your child, you and your child will receive a tag with a coordinating number. You will need to present this card to the child-care workers/teachers when you pick up your child following worship. Thank you for helping us make Sunday morning a safe and positive experience.

Godly Play is a worship time that helps children explore their faith through story, wonder, and play. Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. Godly Play seeks to enrich their spiritual experience. Based on Montessori principles and using Bible-based curriculum, Godly Play serves our children from four years old through grade five.

On most Sundays during morning worship, the children are invited to meet at the Godly Play banner displayed at the front of the sanctuary. They are greeted by the Storyteller and together follow the banner to their Godly Play room in the education wing of the church.

Parents are asked to pick up their child(ren) from the Godly Play rooms following the morning worship service.

We are excited to welcome children to Godly Play on the following Sundays:
    March 31, April 7, 14, 28, May 12, 19, 26, June 9, 16, 23, 30

Ages 4 - Grade 5

Wednesday Night Kids is a part of the Wednesday evening Body Life gathering. Following a 5:15 meal provided in the Fellowship Hall at a low cost for children and adults, children 4 years – 5th grade gather with leaders from 6 – 7:30pm. In the Wednesday night setting children interact with hands on activities, crafts and play experiences learning together the truths of God’s love for them and for all peoples of the world. Childcare ages Infants – 3 years.

Spring Semester Theme: "They Met Jesus."

Wednesday Night Kids will continue their series “They Met Jesus.” The kids will hear stories about men and women in the Bible who met Jesus and whose lives were changed because of that meeting. Also, each week the kids will hear the story of one of their adult friends from Park Place Church of God who also has had an encounter with Jesus.

The kids are learning that these stories are written and told so that they might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing in him they can have life. (From the theme verse: John 20:31)

Each evening includes a time of free play, a craft, a media-enhanced lesson presentation, and a simple snack.
