Infants – 5th grade

Infants Room 157, Alexis Franklin
Ages 2 & 3 Room 158, Pia Gossweiler
Ages 4 through 5th grade, Room 153, Royce and Sue Hammel

During this hour teachers provide a caring and safe environment for each child. Your child will engage in age-appropriate learning activities with emphasis on the love God has for them.

Your child will need to obtain a security tag to participate in Sunday morning classes and Godly Play. You may fill out a card designating security information at the Children’s Ministry table located in the south end of the Narthex/lobby entrance to the sanctuary. After filling out information for your child, you and your child will receive a tag with a coordinating number. You will need to present this card to the child-care workers/teachers when you pick up your child following worship. Thank you for helping us make Sunday morning a safe and positive experience.

Godly Play is a worship time that helps children explore their faith through story, wonder, and play. Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. Godly Play seeks to enrich their spiritual experience. Based on Montessori principles and using Bible-based curriculum, Godly Play serves our children from four years old through grade five.

On most Sundays during morning worship, the children are invited to meet at the Godly Play banner displayed at the front of the sanctuary. They are greeted by the Storyteller and together follow the banner to their Godly Play room in the education wing of the church.

Parents are asked to pick up their child(ren) from the Godly Play rooms following the morning worship service.

We are excited to welcome children to Godly Play on the following Sundays:
    January 20, 27; February 13, 20, 27; March 10, 17, 24, 31

Spring Semester Theme: "They Met Jesus."

WNK begin their Spring semester of Body Life learning about persons who met Jesus. Some of those persons are found in the pages of the Bible while others are found in the pews of Park Place Church of God. The kids will hear the stories of both groups. But regardless of who they are, each of these persons who met Jesus came away “believing that Jesus is the Messiah (Christ), the Son of God” and they experienced a new life in Him.

February 6:
Why the Bible was written? “These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that believing in Him you will have life.” (John 20:31: theme/memory verse)
